A Scottish tourist identified only as Lewis survived a fall from a yacht in the port of San Antonio in Ibiza, Spain, after attempting to descend the vessel's gangway without support. The incident was recorded on video and shared on social media this weekend.
The images show Lewis apparently under the influence of alcohol, smoking and singing while on the yacht. During the descent down the gangway, he lost his balance and fell, hitting his face on the dock's side before falling into the water.
Friends who were accompanying the scene ran to help him after the fall and managed to pull him out of the water. Despite the impact, he appeared to not have suffered serious injuries and reappeared at a club shortly after the incident.
Influencer and fitness model Levi Pedro, who posted the images, said he tried to stop the tourist from performing the maneuver. The moment went viral on social media.
