A collision between two light goods vehicles occurred this morning on the A7, at kilometre 96, in the direction of Vila Pouca de Aguiar–Ribeira de Pena. The accident happened at 08:35 and resulted in one seriously injured person, a 46-year-old man.

The victim was assisted and stabilized at the scene by the firefighting teams, and was subsequently transported to the Hospital of Vila Real. The commander of the Volunteer Firefighters of Vila Pouca de Aguiar, Hugo Silva, confirmed the details of the accident.

On scene were the Firefighters of Vila Pouca de Aguiar, with three vehicles and nine operatives, the Firefighters of Ribeira de Pena, the GNR, and the motorway concessionaire.
