The Supreme Federal Court (STF) will judge on Tuesday an investigation into alleged conversations between Justice Alexandre de Moraes and hacker Walter Delgatti, known as Vermelho. The analysis was requested by Justice André Mendonça after the Federal Police identified that businessman Darren Vorcaro contacted a number attributed to Moraes.
The case involves conversations attributed to the justice that were published by hacker Walter Delgatti, who claimed to have accessed files from the Superior Electoral Court's (TSE) system. Delgatti presented alleged messages as proof that the justice had ordered police operations against allies of former President Jair Bolsonaro.
André Mendonça, rapporteur of the case, requested the opening of the inquiry and will be responsible for presenting his vote during the trial. Alexandre de Moraes's defense denies the authenticity of the alleged messages and maintains that the dialogues were fabricated.
The trial can be followed live through the STF's official channels. The case has generated great political repercussion, as it directly involves a Supreme Court minister and allegations of interference in investigations.
