A 46-year-old man, identified as Charles Wilson Pastore, was arrested in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in early September, after a drug-sniffing dog found drugs, money and a weapon hidden in his vehicle. Pastore is a resident of Brooklyn, New York, and was driving a white Mercedes-Benz at the time of the police stop.
During the traffic stop, the drug-sniffing dog indicated the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. During the search conducted by the agents, they found 17 grams of methamphetamine, 3.5 grams of crack, as well as $3,515 in cash and several cell phones.
Police also seized a loaded semi-automatic pistol with an altered serial number. A digital scale with white powder residue was found inside a backpack on the rear seat of the vehicle.
According to Fort Lauderdale police, the quantity and the way the items were hidden caught the attention of the agents, who continue to investigate the case.
