The Board of Directors of ADENE now has reinforced powers to guarantee the continuity of the agency's operation until its integration into the Geology and Energy Agency. This decision was made within the framework of a sub-delegation of competencies by the Secretary of State for Energy.
With this sub-delegation, the board of directors is authorized to approve expenses up to one million euros, enter into contracts, and hire specialized services. These competencies allow the agency to maintain its operational activity during the transition period until the merger.
The measure arises in the context of reorganization of the Portuguese energy sector, with the creation of a new agency that will result from the integration of ADENE into the Geology and Energy Agency. The reinforcement of powers aims to ensure that the agency can continue to function autonomously and effectively during this transition process.
