Turismo Centro de Portugal (TCP) and the Regional Tourism Promotion Agency of Centro de Portugal (ARPTC) presented this Monday, at the Pena D'Água Boutique Hotel & Villas, in Covilhã, the project "A Caminho das Estrelas". This is a gastronomic, cultural and tourist enhancement program that will travel through the eight sub-regions of Centro de Portugal until March 2027.

The project has as its horizon the holding, in Coimbra, of the MICHELIN Guide Portugal Gala. The chosen motto for the initiative is "The Gala is the destination. Authenticity is the path", intending to transform this event into an opportunity to showcase the region's gastronomic and cultural diversity.

For six months, the program will travel through the eight territories of Centro de Portugal, promoting their unique gastronomic and cultural characteristics, thus preparing the way for the gala that will be held in Coimbra in 2027.

Why this matters

The project will directly benefit the eight territories of Centro de Portugal by promoting their gastronomy and culture over six months, attracting visitors and investment. The holding of the MICHELIN Gala in Coimbra in 2027 positions the region as a gastronomic destination of excellence at an international level.
