On September 26, at 9:30 PM, the Centro Cultural António Aleixo in Vila Real de Santo António will host Spanish singer, composer, instrumentalist and researcher Mili Vizcaíno, who will present the concert "Cartographies of Time and Lime," accompanied only by her guitar.
The concert, performed in Spanish and Portuguese, explores the intersection between "music, territory and ecology." According to the organization, stories of places, flights and songs coexist with themes such as love, dreams, ecosocial justice and the relationship between humans and the more-than-human world.
The event takes place within the Tertúlia das Andorinhas, a program that aims to create in Vila Real de Santo António a regular, intimate musical programming, open to the encounter between artists from different geographies. Tickets cost 15 euros.
Mili Vizcaíno holds a doctorate in music and musicology from the University of Évora, with research dedicated to ecomusicology in the Iberian Peninsula, and is a member of the Centre for Music Studies (CESEM) – Évora branch. Her artistic and academic career develops between Spain, Portugal and other countries, having been distinguished with awards such as INJUVE, Sonora and Extremadura.
