A 40-year-old man was rescued this morning by the Voluntary Firefighters of Madeira after allegedly being the victim of an assault. The incident occurred on Rua D. Carlos I, in Funchal, at 5 in the morning.
The victim presented abrasions resulting from the assault. After receiving first aid at the scene, the man was transported to Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital to receive adequate medical treatment.
The authorities have not yet provided information about the suspects or the circumstances that led to the assault.
