The maritime authorities resumed this morning the search for the 36-year-old man who disappeared in the sea at Costa Nova beach, in the municipality of Ílhavo, Aveiro district. The information was confirmed by the National Maritime Authority.
The man reportedly disappeared during the afternoon of Monday, when he was practicing water activities at the aforementioned Costa Nova beach.
The search operations were initiated immediately after the alert, having taken place during the afternoon and night of Monday without success in locating the missing person.
The authorities continue to coordinate search efforts in the coastal area, mobilizing land and sea resources to try to find the man.
