The Entity for Transparency publicly acknowledged that it did not manage to conclude the verification of all single interest and income statements of the current Government. This situation raises questions about the full compliance with transparency obligations by members of the executive.
The EpT highlighted that there are pending processes awaiting decisions from the Constitutional Court. These decisions relate to the definition of what type of information should be included in the mandatory declarations, which has hindered the conclusion of the verification process.
The Entity for Transparency is the body responsible for monitoring compliance with the declaration obligations of interests and income by holders of public offices, including Government members. However, the pending constitutional questions regarding the scope of the declaration obligations have prevented the full completion of this oversight.
