The inflation rate in Spain reached 4.3% in August, recording the highest value since 2023. This significant increase in prices represents an acceleration compared to previous months.
The main driver of this rise was the increase in fuel prices, which drove general prices in the Spanish economy during the month of August.
Given this situation, the Spanish government announced a support measure for consumers, implementing a 20-cent discount on fuels to mitigate the impact of inflation on citizens.
