Oswald Gatlo, State Secretary of Portugal, representing the Ministry of Land and Environment of Mozambique, will visit Macau to participate in the annual forum on sustainable tropical timber trade. This will be the first time Mozambique participates in this event.
The Chinese regional government of Macau officially announced the opening of the forum and Mozambique's participation in this event. The forum annually brings together representatives from countries involved in tropical timber trade to discuss sustainable development issues in this industry.
Mozambique, being one of the African countries with significant tropical forest resources, has the opportunity to establish new business contacts and strengthen cooperation with Asian partners in the timber trade sector.
