Portugal registered 66 new mpox cases, with the existence of community transmission in the country having been confirmed. The information was released this Monday by the World Health Organization.
Mpox is a disease that spreads from person to person, mainly through close contact with skin lesions, body fluids, or respiratory droplets from an infected person.
The most common symptoms of the disease include fever, muscle pain, fatigue, and the appearance of skin lesions. The disease can spread through direct contact with an infected person or with contaminated materials.
