Strong rains hit Brazil's south and southeast regions, causing flooding, storms, and hail. The affected regions are experiencing the effects of a cyclone, with landslides, floods, and tornado reports.
In Paraná, 2,523 residents had to leave their homes due to the storms, according to a Civil Defense bulletin released on Monday (14). The severe weather conditions affecting the state began the previous Wednesday (9).
In the municipality of Rio Branco do Sul, two people are missing after a car was dragged by floodwater. The vehicle was found in the Ribeira River. According to the Paraná Fire Department, the driver and a passenger were trying to cross a submerged bridge and were carried away by the water on Sunday (13).
