Costume designer and stylist Bob Mackie died at 87 on Monday (14). The announcement of his passing was made through his official Instagram profile of the legendary name in world fashion.
Mackie is considered one of Hollywood's most famous professionals in costume and fashion design. Throughout his career, he worked with dozens of stars, including frequent collaborations with Cher, as well as Tina Turner, Barbra Streisand, and Diana Ross.
The message published on Mackie's profile stated: "It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of Mr. Bob Mackie's passing today. He lived his 87 years intensely, fulfilling his dream of being a stylist and costume designer, which was everything he ever wanted to do."
The statement also highlighted his legacy: "His genius and extraordinary designs will live forever, continuing to bring beauty to this world."
