Minister Flávio Dino of the Supreme Federal Court stated that congressman Cezinha de Madureira (PL-SP) would have used his parliamentary function to convey to third parties the perception that he had influence over ministers of higher courts. The statement is in the decision that authorized a search and seizure operation against the congressman, in the third phase of Operation Transparency.
According to Dino, Cezinha and his wife, lawyer Valéria Rodrigues Linhares, would have acted to influence ministers, including those of the STF, in cases involving clients of lawyer Mariângela Fialek. The decision indicates that it would be Cezinha's role to make direct contact with the ministers.
Minister Flávio Dino also cites messages that would indicate direct communication between the congressman and Minister Nunes Marques regarding an unspecified matter in the available portion of the decision.
