Miguel Albuquerque, President of the Regional Government, defended during the inauguration ceremony of the renovated building for the 1st Cycle of the Salesian School the importance of freedom of choice in education. The official took the opportunity to reiterate his executive's position regarding the State's role in the educational provision of the Region.
In his speech, Albuquerque stressed that the State's responsibility lies in providing options to families, rather than imposing restrictive rules. The President of the Regional Government emphasized that it is the State's duty to provide alternatives to parents and guardians.
The event celebrated the completion of the renovation works of the building dedicated to the 1st Cycle of the Salesian School. Albuquerque took the opportunity to praise the quality of this educational institution, acknowledging its contribution to education in the Region.
