The Human Rights and Participatory Legislation Committee (CDH) of the Federal Senate analyzed a legislative suggestion registered on the e-Cidadania Portal that requests the adjustment and equalization of the health aid for federal Executive branch servants — active, retired, and pensioners — to that of the other Powers. As of April, the proposal had received support from 20,255 citizens.
The citizen who presented the proposal, identified as Verônica Pacheco da Silva, from Paraíba, argues that there is "an unjustifiable disparity between the Powers." According to her, while Executive branch servants receive a deflated average aid of approximately R$ 215.00, Judiciary branch servants receive a benefit with an initial value of R$ 579.39, reaching R$ 869 for servants over 50 years old and people with disabilities.
The author of the suggestion states that this inequality violates isonomy and forces servants to leave their health plans, overburdening the Unified Health System (SUS). The proposal suggests an immediate adjustment, equalizing the values of the Executive to those practiced by the Judiciary, also including the provision for annual adjustment linked to some correction index.
