Ferradosa, in the municipality of São João da Pesqueira, hosted on September 12 the third edition of the Douro Valley Open Water, an open water swimming competition that took place in the waters of the Douro River.
The event brought together 203 athletes, both national and international, who participated in the two events available: one of 700 meters and another of 3,000 meters.
The competition once again asserted itself as one of the highlights of the sporting calendar of the Douro region, attracting participants from different countries to the waters of the Douro River.
This was the third consecutive edition of the Douro Valley Open Water, demonstrating the consolidation of the event as a reference in the open water swimming segment in Portugal.
