A truck container carrying 115 thousand kilos of cargo overturned on the A4 Motorway in Matosinhos. The accident created a dangerous situation on the road, with the container remaining suspended on the motorway's safety rails.
The truck was heading towards São João da Madeira when the incident occurred. The authorities were alerted to the occurrence and began operations to resolve the situation.
The excessive weight of the cargo, approximately 115 thousand kilos, is believed to have contributed to the severity of the accident and hindered the container removal operations from the road.
The authorities continued to work at the scene to remove the container and restore traffic on the A4, without the total extent of the damage caused by the accident yet being known.
