A United States pilot recalled the moments of terror he experienced after his fighter jet was shot down by a missile in Iran. During the fall, the parachute was damaged, causing him to experience a feeling of "free fall" while trying to descend safely.
After ejecting from the plane, the pilot managed to survive by hiding in a crevice on a mountain, where he remained hidden during a critical period while rescue forces tried to locate him.
The search operations lasted 50 hours until the pilot, identified as "Bravo", was finally successfully rescued by American rescue teams.
