Indonesian authorities intensified, this Monday, the search for 129 people who remain missing after a ferry sank, on Sunday, in the Java Sea. The accident occurred when the vessel went down, leaving dozens of passengers without contact.
The rescue teams have already managed to rescue 108 people alive from the wreckage and the waters. Additionally, divers recovered six bodies of victims who did not survive the sinking.
The search operations continue in progress, with authorities working to locate the remaining missing. The ferry had departed with a number of passengers on board that has yet to be confirmed.
