DAZN, the sports entertainment platform, announced on September 14 three appointments to its executive leadership team, aimed at supporting the company's next phase of profitable growth. Patrick Delany was appointed Chief Operating Officer, Alex Gersh as Chief Financial Officer and Darren Waterman, current CFO, moved to the role of Chief Business Officer. The three executives now report directly to Shay Segev, CEO of DAZN Group, with immediate effect.
The appointments come at a decisive year for the company, after 2025 was marked by the acquisition of the Foxtel Group, the broadcast of the FIFA Club World Cup to hundreds of millions of fans worldwide and the first time DAZN achieved profitability. In 2026, the company also announced the acquisitions of ViewLift and EverPass, renewed premium rights in key markets, integrated FIFA+ into its platform and accelerated the development of the regional sports business in the United States.
Patrick Delany, based in London, will have full responsibility for the daily business performance, with a focus on subscriber and revenue growth. With more than three decades of experience, he was CEO of the Foxtel Group since 2018 and previously CEO of Fox Sports Australia, where he led the launch of Kayo Sports and BINGE. Alex Gersh succeeds Darren Waterman as CFO, bringing more than 25 years of international financial leadership experience, having been CFO at Sportradar, where he led the company's listing on NASDAQ, and CFO of Betfair and subsequently Paddy Power Betfair.
DAZN also confirmed that Alice Mascia, after four years as CEO of the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), has decided to leave the company at the end of this year, to be replaced by Felix Krause, who
