The GNR seized this Monday a semi-rigid vessel and about 1,600 liters of gasoline off Trafaria, in the district of Setúbal. The operation originated from the detection of suspicious movements near the Segundo Torrão beach.
The vessel was carrying five individuals on board, aged between 17 and 41. The GNR military personnel proceeded with the interception of the vessel and the seizure of the fuel cargo.
The five individuals were made suspects in the context of this case. The authorities did not disclose further details about the suspicions against the detained individuals or about the intended destination of the seized fuel.
