Starting this Tuesday, most trucks will be prohibited from circulating on the VCI during the day. The measure restricts circulation between 7h00 and 21h00, covering the vast majority of heavy goods vehicles.
The restriction will cause a cut of almost 4,500 vehicles on the VCI, representing a reduction of approximately 60% in truck traffic on this road.
The change comes in a context of concern about the safety conditions and fluidity of traffic on that road, which is one of the main road arteries of the city.
