The Quaest poll, published this Monday (14th), showed for the first time since April that candidate Flavio Bolsonaro (PL) is numerically ahead of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) in a second-round scenario in the presidential election. The PL senator scored 42% of voting intentions, while Lula obtained 40%.
The survey was commissioned by GLOBO and TV Globo after the lifting of secrecy of the Master case by the Supreme Court (STF). The poll was conducted between Friday and Sunday.
With a margin of error of two percentage points, plus or minus, the result configures a technical tie between the two candidates. In the previous poll, both voting intentions were tied at 41%, indicating a favorable oscillation for the PL candidate.
