The Quaest poll released this Monday revealed the most recent scenario of the presidential election in the runoff between President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and the presidential candidate for PL, Jair Bolsonaro (represented by his indices). The survey is the first by the institute after the fallout from the crisis at the Supreme Federal Court (STF), which resulted in the lifting of secrecy of the investigations in the Master case.
For the first time during the campaign, Bolsonaro registered a numerical advantage against Lula in the runoff, reaching 42% against 40% for the PT candidate, a difference within the margin of error.
In the breakdown by region, the Southeast stands out as favorable territory for Bolsonaro, with the PL candidate reaching 47% against 31% for Lula. The poll also showed that Bolsonaro leads among men, with 47% against 38% for Lula, while among women the president appears ahead with 41% against 38% for Bolsonaro.
Regarding religion, Lula maintains an advantage among Catholics, with 46% against 38% for Bolsonaro. In the three scenarios analyzed, there is still a significant percentage of blank, null or undecided votes, indicating that the race remains open.
