Portuguese Purever Installs Factory in India with 20 Million Euro Investment

Jornal Económico14 September 2026 at 15:00

The Portuguese multinational Purever announced a partnership with Indian company Manaksia Coated Metals & Industries for the installation of an industrial unit in southern India, with an investment of approximately 20 million euros. The investment will be split equally between the two companies.

The factory, which will be located in Hyderabad, is expected to be inaugurated in 2027 and will produce products from the Portuguese group destined for cleanrooms and the technology market, including the semiconductor, pharmaceutical, automotive and data center industries.

The CEO and founder of Purever, Luís Coelho Borges, stated that Manaksia is the ideal partner to advance in the Indian market, enabling the supply of products to pharmaceutical and technology companies that are setting up business units in India.

Purever already has factories in Portugal, Spain, Italy, France and the United States, as well as project centers in Madrid and Dublin. The company expects to end the year with a turnover growth of 15%, reaching 490 million euros.

Why this matters

Purever's expansion to India represents an opportunity for Portuguese exporting companies of industrial technology, potentially creating partnerships and supply chains in the Asian market. For readers in Portugal, this news indicates the growth of the Portuguese industrial sector in international markets and the potential for employment and investment that may result from Portuguese-Indian partnerships in the technology sector.
