In August, the total revenue of the State of Rio de Janeiro reached the mark of R$ 6.6 billion, representing a 24% increase compared to the same period of 2025, according to a survey by the State Treasury Secretariat.
Companies in the oil and fuel sector were the biggest contributors to this growth, accounting for an increase of R$ 776 million in state revenue.
In second place were companies in the electricity and telecommunications sector, which contributed R$ 197 million more to the state coffers.
