The Quaest survey released on Monday (14) indicates a loss of four percentage points of voting intention for incumbent president and re-election candidate Lula (PT) among low-income voters in the first round. In one month, there is a seven-point drop among people earning up to two minimum wages.
The PL presidential candidate, Flavio Bolsonaro, grew in other areas. In the Southeast, he opened a large lead over Lula, with 47% against 31%. Among women, the senator stands at 38% against 41% for the petista. Among Catholics, Lula has 46% against 38% for Bolsonaro.
The new Quaest presidential survey shows that Bolsonaro has narrowed the gap with Lula in the presidential poll. While the senator has 31% of valid votes, the current president has 36%. In the previous survey from September 7, Lula had 36% and Bolsonaro 29%.
In a runoff, the survey shows Bolsonaro with 42% against 40% for Lula, indicating an even tighter scenario if the two candidates face each other in the final stage of voting.
