Santo da Serra in Madeira recorded today, Monday, a maximum temperature of 32.0 °C, becoming the highest value observed until 2 PM in the IPMA weather station network in the region. The Santo da Serra station also showed a thermal amplitude of 15.3 °C, with a minimum temperature of 16.7 °C recorded at 04:20 in the early morning.
In Prazeres, another station in the IPMA network, the maximum temperature reached 30.7 °C. Pico do Areeiro recorded 29.2 °C at 1 PM, just eight-tenths of a degree short of reaching 30 °C.
The data refers to measurements taken until 2 PM, corresponding to the midday solar period in the region. The information was collected from the weather station network of the Portuguese Institute for the Sea and the Atmosphere in Madeira.
