The Minister of Education, Fernando Alexandre, guarantees that students who have not yet secured placement will not be left out of public school. The statement comes at a time when many students face difficulties finding a spot in the country's public schools.
Fernando Alexandre acknowledges that there are overcrowded schools that have already exceeded the maximum number of classes allowed. Many of these institutions have resorted to solutions such as splitting shifts and creating additional classes to accommodate the growing demand.
However, the minister warned that cases where school directors have available places but refuse to admit students are unacceptable. Fernando Alexandre emphasized that he wants these cases investigated and clarified, considering the situation "serious" for the education system.
