Passengers on a Turkish Airlines flight that departed from Istanbul, in Turkiye, bound for Tunis, in Tunisia, last Thursday (10/9) lived moments of terror on board after the pilot aborted three landing attempts in the Tunisian capital due to severe turbulence and a storm.
A passenger named Marina Maiskaya recorded on video the moment panic took over the cabin. In the footage, one of the passengers can be heard screaming "We're going to die!" each time the landing attempt was canceled and the plane plummeted in free fall.
Marina said the flight was proceeding smoothly, but the situation became terrifying as soon as they began their descent. "Never in my life have I feared for my life in that way," she stated.
After the third failed attempt, the pilot decided not to insist and sought an alternative to ensure the safety of the passengers on board.
