Cinfães will host a national conference dedicated to local democracy and citizen participation on October 16. The event seeks to debate new responses for rural territories and has as its central focus the participation of youth in public life.
The conference emerges as a nationwide gathering that places Cinfães at the center of discussions on citizen participation and local governance. The municipality, located in the district of Viseu, will thus be the stage for an expanded debate on the future of low-density territories.
The meeting aims to explore ways to involve more citizens, particularly young people, in decisions that affect their communities. This initiative arises in a context where many rural territories face challenges such as depopulation and a lack of economic and social revitalization.
