The Pilgrimage of Our Lady of the Gate is back in Arcos de Valdevez on September 19 and 20, promising a weekend marked by faith, tradition and fellowship. The festivity is promoted by the Holy House of Mercy of Arcos de Valdevez, with the support of the Municipality.

The program kicks off on Saturday, the 19th, at 4:00 PM, near the Mercy Church, with the performance of the Drum Group. Activities include the Court of Honor Parade, Traditional Sweets Fair, music, concertinas, traditional folk processions, arranged dances and street entertainment, as well as the International Rugby Tournament (veterans) of Our Lady of the Gate.

Gastronomy will also take center stage with Dinner Time, which will feature the participation of the restaurants on the streets near the Church, where traditional snacks and dishes will be served.

The religious program highlights include the auctioning of the Offering to the Lady, the Blessing of the harvest grapes and the Solemn Mass in Honor of Our Lady of the Gate, which closes the festivities.
