Rock in Rio 2026 has ended and, according to the team of critics from GLOBO newspaper, Elton John was elected the best show of the festival. The British singer, 79 years old, was the only attraction to receive a score of 10, both in evaluations made at the City of Rock and at the newspaper's newsroom. The veteran put on an emotional show, possibly marking his farewell to the stage, as he broke his previously announced retirement to perform in Brazil.
Among the most praised performances, alongside Elton John, names such as Gilberto Gil, Foo Fighters, Jamiroquai, Bring Me the Horizon and Lola Young appeared. At the bottom of the ranking, among the worst performances according to critics, were artists such as Calvin Harris, J Balvin and Machine Gun Kelly.
Over the two weeks of the festival, GLOBO journalists evaluated with scores all performances on the Mundo and Sunset stages, the main stages of the event.
