At least 21 dead in road accident in South Africa

At least 21 people died in a road accident in the Western Cape province, South Africa. The accident occurred around 00:30 on the N1 highway, between the towns of Leeu Gamka and Prins Albert, about 380 kilometres from Cape Town. Local authorities reported on the incident through the Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC), the South African traffic management authority. The collision involved two taxis, minibuses commonly used by the population as public transport in the country.
