Grupo Desportivo Eixense celebrates this year its 50th anniversary, marking half a century of history in service of sport, youth training and the associative movement of the parish of Eixo and the municipality of Aveiro. Founded on August 12, 1976, the club became one of the most relevant institutions in the region, contributing to the sporting and human development of thousands of athletes over five decades.
Last Saturday, the celebrations program featured a commemorative football match between the Grupo Desportivo Eixense team and FC Porto's Vintage, a group formed by former stars and historic players of the Porto club. The match attracted hundreds of fans and curious onlookers, turning the Eixense field into a true stage of sporting celebration.
