Portugal will present quite different weather realities this Tuesday, September 15th. According to the forecast from the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA), while some regions continue under the influence of dry weather and high temperatures, in the Azores precipitation once again takes center stage.
It is in the Azores that the weather should become more unstable. In Ponta Delgada, on the island of São Miguel, the probability of precipitation reaches 71%, with temperatures between 21 and 28°C. In Angra do Heroísmo, on the island of Terceira, the probability rises to 88%, with weak precipitation also expected and a maximum around 26°C. Santa Cruz das Flores has a 71% probability of rain, while in Horta the probability drops to 24%.
In mainland Portugal, the scenario is completely different, with 0% probability of precipitation in the district capitals. The sky should vary between clear and partly cloudy. Despite a drop in temperatures along the coast, the heat will continue to be felt inland, with Castelo Branco and Évora potentially reaching 37°C. Along the coast, values will be considerably lower, with 23°C forecast for Aveiro and 24°C for Porto and Leiria.
Also in Madeira, no precipitation is expected, with 0% probability of rain in Funchal, where the maximum will be close to 31°C. Porto Santo and the south coast of Madeira remain under yellow warning for persistence of high maximum temperature values until Tuesday.
