The American band Twenty One Pilots performed in the early hours of Monday as the last act on the Mundo Stage at Rock in Rio. Despite the persistent rain, strong winds, and a temperature of 19°C that caused a drop in audience attendance compared to other nights, the duo's fans did not lose motivation and gathered enthusiastically to watch the closing show of the festival's main stage.
Without further ado, Josh Dun opened the performance by pounding a drum kit positioned at the front of the stage, followed by Tyler Joseph, who appeared dressed as a ninja. The duo started with the rap of "Overcompensate," with the fans singing every word along with the band. "The Contract" came next, keeping the crowd under the rain.
Tyler Joseph made references to the festival's ending during the show, asking the audience if they had enjoyed Rock in Rio. However, according to the review, no one seemed to be in a party-ending mood. Despite the name suggesting a larger band, Twenty One Pilots is made up of only two people, who play various instruments throughout the performance.
