Women have arrived more specialized in Government compared to men. This is one of the conclusions that emerges from the analysis of the profile of female ministers in the current composition of the executive.
However, despite this higher level of specialization, women continue to have less access to the central portfolios of Government. These portfolios are those where party weight and political trust have greater importance in the distribution of ministries.
This situation highlights a disparity in the way men and women access ministerial positions, with women frequently directed to areas less central from a political-party perspective.
