USC Paredes won this Sunday against AD Fafe 2-1 at Estádio das Laranjeiras, in the fifth round of Liga 3 Placard, Series A. Franco Almara opened the scoring at 15 minutes with a goal of individual quality, after being played through by Gustavo Fernandes down the flank of the Fafe defense. The winger controlled with his chest, resisted the pressure from opponents and placed the ball in the upper corner facing the output of goalkeeper Petr Kudakovskiy. The narrow lead held until halftime.
In the second half, Fafe came out more pressing and managed the equalizer at 75 minutes, through Tiago Veiga, who took advantage of an assist from Mário Correia. The visiting team managed to balance the game and forced Paredes back.
The unionists' response came near the end. At 84 minutes, Miguel Moreno led a quick counter-attack and, after the ball went through Yuk, Francisco Canário received in the area and fired a strong shot into the upper left corner, securing Paredes' victory. The match ended with two sendings off: Leandro Teixeira saw a straight red card, while Miguel Moreno was sent off for accumulation of yellows.
With this victory, USC Paredes reached 12 points and went alone in the lead of Series A. AD Fafe remain on eight points in fourth position. In the next round, Paredes travel to SC Vianense, while Fafe host CD Trofense. Francisco Canário was named man of the match.
