SC Beira-Mar drew 1-1 at home against Castro Daire, a match in which the visiting team even held the lead on the scoreboard. This was the team's third draw of the season, which led coach Fabeta to publicly lament his side's lack of efficiency.
"We owed ourselves two points," the coach declared, referring to the multitude of opportunities created during the match. The team produced many shots, created several clear-cut chances, and even hit the woodwork, but failed to convert these into victories.
Fabeta explained that it only took one moment of inattention to concede the goal from a disadvantageous position, noting that Castro Daire played extremely defensively, with five players in defence, waiting for the hosts to make a mistake. Despite the reaction that allowed the equaliser, the team could not complete the comeback.
The coach expressed satisfaction with the team's effort, but acknowledges that scoring more goals would be essential to motivate the players and achieve victories. The next challenge will be on Saturday, with the home match against Belenenses, from Liga 3, in the second round of the Portuguese Cup.
