Minister Alexandre de Moraes asked STF President Edson Fachin to lift the secrecy on a new part of the investigation into Banco Master before Tuesday's ruling. Moraes claims that the material not yet made available to the ministers contains essential information for analyzing messages exchanged between him and Daniel Vorcaro, the bank's owner.
According to Moraes, Minister André Mendonça kept under seal documents that should have been shared with the other members of the court. Among the still-classified information is data about Banco Master's payment network, detailed in a Financial Intelligence Report from Coaf, as well as information obtained through banking and tax secrecy lifts and precautionary measures.
The Federal Police had already requested, in March, access to part of this material to detail the bank's payment system and funds linked to Master. Moraes's request comes after Fachin determined on Friday that part of the material should be shared with the ministers.
