The Superior Electoral Court (TSE) issued a warning about scams that use fake electoral pending issues to apply fraud against Brazilian citizens. Criminals are using the name and logo of the TSE to deceive voters and steal personal data.
The scams are applied through different channels, including WhatsApp messages, emails and fake websites. Criminals even use correct voter data to give more credibility to the frauds and deceive the victims.
The TSE advises that voters be suspicious of messages that request personal data or payments to regularize pending issues. The institution recommends that any official communication be verified directly through the official channels of the court.
The Electoral Justice reinforces the importance of not clicking on suspicious links and always seeking information through the official TSE channels to avoid falling for scams.
