The Transmontano teams were in the spotlight in the latest round of the Portuguese Championship, with Bragança consolidating their leadership of series 1 by defeating Ponte da Barca 3-0 at home. The Brigantine side reached 10 points in the standings, one more than second-placed Tirsense, with the goals scored by Gonçalo, Lucas and Passas.
GD Chaves B also won at their home ground, beating CD Celoricense 1-0, with Adílio scoring the goal that confirmed another championship victory for the Flavienses side.
In Montalegre, the Barrosões failed to convert home advantage into a win, drawing 1-1 with FC Maia Lidador. Correia scored the goal for the home side, who added another point and remain unbeaten since returning to the national competition. FC Vinhais, for their part, suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat away to Vila Meã.
With these results, the Transmontano representatives occupy different positions in the series 1 table, which features 14 teams. Bragança leads, while Montalegre and Chaves B occupy 7th and 8th places, both with six points. Vinhais sits at the bottom of the standings, still without any points this season. In the next round, in October, the highlight is the Transmontano derby between Bragança and Montalegre.
