Céline Dion returned to the stage on Saturday night, in Paris, at a sold-out concert that marked her first full show in six years. The 58-year-old French-Canadian singer was visibly moved to fulfill the dream of performing again after years of fighting a rare neurological disease.
The artist opened the concert with the ballad "On Ne Change Pas," a French song from the 1990s, while a crowd of 30,000 devoted fans watched the show. Among the audience was former United States First Lady Michelle Obama.
Dion cried tears of joy during the performance and addressed the fans saying: "These are, of course, tears of joy. I'm so happy to see you." The artist's European tour continues with dates scheduled in various cities across the continent.
