Minister André Mendonça, from the Supreme Federal Court (STF), spoke out on Sunday about the possibility of lifting secrecy and fully sharing the contents of Daniel Vorcaro's cell phone. According to Mendonça, opening the data "would only contribute" to "disrupting" Alexandre de Moraes' trial scheduled for next Tuesday, when the Court could make Moraes an investigated party.
Colleagues from the Court requested the material, a digital copy stored in Mendonça's office, to instruct the session that will decide the future of the investigation against Moraes. The Federal Police informed the president of the STF, Edson Fachin, that they have "full technical capacity" to forward copies of the cell phone contents to the ministers' offices.
According to the minister, disclosing Vorcaro's cell phone content would risk the "success" of the investigations into the Master fraud, as well as open the possibility of "questions" that could "deviate from its natural path" the analysis of the Federal Police report on Moraes.
