The youth wing of Juntos pelo Povo (JPP) accused JSD Madeira of downplaying the main problems faced by young people in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. The criticism was made through a note sent by the leader of JPP Youth, Alexandre Gomes.
According to Alexandre Gomes, it is concerning that thousands of Madeiran young people face difficulties in bearing everyday expenses. The official points out that while JSD focuses on social initiatives, serious problems related to the cost of living, housing, and wages persist in the region.
The leader of JPP Youth believes that JSD should dedicate more attention to the real difficulties faced by Madeiran young people, rather than focusing on social activities. This position comes at a time when the economic and social difficulties of Madeira's youth continue to be a concern for various political forces in the region.
