Adriano Álvaro Melo, known as Alvinho, 10 years old, and his mother Priscila, 42, left on Sunday morning the municipal shelter where they had been living since early June. The two headed to Cabo Frio, in the Lagos Region, where the boy will finish the school year.
Priscila reported that the Legacy School, where the boy was enrolled at the beginning of the year, granted a new full scholarship. The boy had received the benefit at the beginning of the year through the director of the local shelter, where they had been before coming to Rio. However, Alvinho was forced to drop out of school due to Priscila's health condition.
According to the boy's mother, a person committed to paying the rent for a property for the two of them in Cabo Frio until the end of the year. At the same time, they are choosing a new property to buy in the North Zone of Rio.
